Pendock was originally formed in 1987, offering an innovative range of casings and enclosure systems manufactured from pre-formed plywood with laminated, real wood veneer or other specialised finishes to meet the diverse demands of architects, specifiers and contractors, as well as interior designers.
The versatility of Pendock casings enabled us to develop and introduce a wide range of solutions to address specific project requirements where structural elements and building services needed to be concealed to enhance aesthetics and in some cases improve safety.
Whilst the initial range of pipe boxing, column casings, radiator guards and specialist perimeter casings, for heating, are still core products, the scope and choice has grown considerably over the years.
As we specialise in surface mounted products to conceal both building services and structures, this led to retro-fit applications to cover pipework, electrical and HVAC services where concealing them within building cavities is too costly, impractical or just not possible.
The government’s Decent Home Standard, announced in 2000, saw many local authorities turn to Pendock casings as the programme of works included kitchen and bathroom re-fitting as well as extensive heating and boiler upgrades.
In 2005, we launched our washroom solutions brand covering fast track next day delivery cubicles, through to complete washroom and IPS panel systems followed two years later with the lockers and changing rooms range.
Pendock became the latest high-profile brand within the Davidson Holdings group of companies when it was acquired from Alumasc in 2014. This resulted in significant investment in the business and allowed our range to be expanded even further, offering greater choice for specifiers and installers.
In addition to our extensive product range, we also have a range of support services for customers, which include full site survey, design and installation solutions to ensure projects are managed effectively and efficiently from start to finish. We have also extended our range of off the shelf products, which enables installers to receive products on next day delivery if required.
Our long-standing relationship with local authority and housing association specifiers has enabled us to play a key role in supporting them through the extensive retro-fitting of fire sprinkler systems in social housing blocks. We are one of a few specialist businesses capable of delivering high quality products in compressed timescales and within budget.
On 1st October 2019 – Pendock was acquired by Peterborough based architectural and decorative casing solutions specialist, Encasement Ltd, as part of its strategy to expand into new market sectors and increase its production capacity with Pendock’s UK based manufacturing facilities.
Starting in April 2020, a range of new initiatives are in the process of being developed and implemented, including the introduction of a new brand structure and significant upgrades to our website, which will increase the level of technical information, as well as improving the navigation and graphics content.
Our branding structure simplifies navigation and allows products ranges to be brought together in logical groups, which will ease specification and simplify access to information, as follows:
